   Wrote extensively about technical topics including: running TCP/IP
   on wireless platforms, configuring BBS software applications like
   *NOS, building hardware modems, configuring software modems
   using a soundcard, setting up routing tables, ARP tables and 
   domain name servers (DNS), networking across hub-and-spoke packet
   switches, all supplemented with photography where appropriate.

   Internet Consulting: Advised clients about their "findability" 
   on the web. How to organize content and information so that search 
   engines such as Google will have a higher probability of reaching 
   targeted topics and generating higher hit rates.

   Customer Service: Offered on-site services for clients 
   which included software updates, routine security maintenance 
   (Symantec) checks, and email filtering (OE), along with major 
   re-installs of the OS, XP 2000 for example. (All service calls were 
   followed up with detailed documentation).

   * Consultant/Programmer/Analyst

   Network: Developed a Client/Server application in Perl and HTML/CGI
   for the OIT department, managing the Sendmail, Auto-Response system,
   for employees scheduling vacation dates.  A verification page can be
   accessed from the Lesley Web site which, on user authentication,
   leads to a data entry page, triggering a vacation message via the
   Sendmail system and vacation program.

   Database: Developed Pick code to import all demographic data from
   the Art Institute of Boston into Lesley's Colleague database system.
   Designed a code generator to convert a UNIX style configuration
   file into a massive case structure for the main import program.

   Systems: Designed and developed a Correspondence Management System
   which generated letters to prospective and enrolled students. A
   suite of five programs was developed to maintain, update, and track
   over 200 correspondence categories for the Office of Graduate
   Admissions. Platform was RS/6000; OS was AIX 3.5 IBM.




CPCS, Committee for Public Counsel Services, Boston, MA
   * Senior Programmer, 03//94 - 09//94

   Database Administration: Responsibile for Data Analysis and
   maintaining database applications for Litigation Support/Billing,
   and Customer Service Information Systems, including state-wide
   business travel to CPCS offices.

   Systems: Developed Unix Systems programming in C for a UPS, and
   researched the system links between PICK and UNIX, i.e., PICK/e-mail
   applications for Electronic Billing systems. Supported Advanced
   Pick O/S -v6.0.1.DG16, on top of UNIX release DGUX:5.4R3.00 generic
   AViiON, and Novell Netware.




IFAW, International Fund for Animal Welfare          02//93 - 08//93
   * Programmer/Analyst

   Database Administration: Assisted in a conversion from a PRIME 50
   series machine to a DEC UNIX/PICK system. Designed a dictionary
   driven reporting system which summarized strategic business
   information.

   Systems Administration: Supported Advanced Pick O/S - v5.2, on top
   of SCO UNIX System V/386 Release 3.2. Platforms include DEC MP, XP,
   and IBM compatible PCs using RAID configurations.




Computervision, Inc.,  Bedford, MA                   04//92 - 07//92
   * Consultant Programmer/Analyst

   Development: Upgraded and enhanced an International Information
   System called CVSI, which specialized in the distribution of Sales
   and Marketing data to the field. Platform was Primos and
   Prime Information.




PRIME Computer, Inc.,  Milford, MA                             87-90
   * Senior Programmer/Analyst

   Database Administration: Responsible for the installation,
   administration, and full-time programming maintainance of an
   international on-line Customer Service Information System,
   called FAST, which supported administrative and field service
   personnel, including business travel to England, France, 
   Germany, and Sweden.

   Development: Integrated Prime Information databases with PDN
   mailer systems to achieve overnight updates of their global
   Information System. Developed all applications software to
   implement this custom database/mailing system.

   Technical Writing: Contributed to various Operating Systems
   manuals, and wrote bi-weekly release notes for the FAST system
   administrators.
